How is national identity photographed? What does Czechness look like? Why did Tomáš Pospěch decide to photograph it? And why didn’t he take pictures of national flags, dumplings and beer?

We cordially invite you to a guided tour of the Czech exhibition on Monday 18 November from 6.30 pm in the Fotografic Gallery. Tomáš Pospěch will not only reveal the details of the origin of this extensive and surprisingly analytical series, but above all he will offer reflections on what shapes national identity, why we relate so much to it or what is actually Czech. Questions to which there are no simple answers directly encourage a lively discussion.
